Thanks to the Pig flu, Greg made the decision that we should "quarantine" Tekla at the ranch for a few days. She has been spending quality time with Greg's mom since Wednesday night.
Greg deals with people with respiratory issues on a daily basis and certainly is at increased risk for being exposed to this flu bug. With Tekla being so young we felt it best to minimize her chance of exposure so we packed her up and took a small moving truck and headed to the ranch on Wednesday. Who would've thought we would have to transport so much stuff!! Clothes, diapers, bottles, baby food, car seat, toys, and we certainly can't forget her favorite bouncey chair!!
I'm sure this is a smart thing to do, but I miss my baby!!!

Hope there are no pigs at the ranch!
No, just the cows are domesticated. But there are wild pigs, but no one gets near them. I just hope those swine haven't been to see their Mexican cousins recently.
Someone suggested that since they haven't found any sick pigs yet that we call it the Mexican flu ala the Asian flu, the Spanish flu, etc. I guess that wouldn't be politically correct.
I'm so sorry that you are separated from your baby, but you did a wise thing. She's probably enjoying being spoiled by Grandma. She may have a taste for chocolate chip cookies when she comes home. LOL
Now you and Greg need to be careful! Mother's Day is next week and I know that you don't want to be sick for that...for your own mothers I mean. :)

When does she get to come home?!?
She's six months old today, we need an update!!! :-D
