The exciting world

Tekla has been really becoming more aware of her surroundings in the last week or so. She is "talking" to us, responding with sounds when we talk to her. She has also been very attentive to things and those around her, she even showed the signs of recognizing a stranger over the weekend. The down side is, she becomes easily bored and lets us know this frequently. I find myself searching for ways to entertain her (even though I'm convinced she should be entertaining me). The weather was nice enough yesterday to finally try out her stroller through the neighborhood. She was so attentive checking things out and didn't want to go home even though it was time for her bottle.

I'll have some new pictures up soon.

She takes after her daddy, distracted by bright shiny things. LOL

I'll tell you a secret, although I should wait until I can try it out on her so that I will look like a genius :), but I have used just a plain set of shiny keys that jingle to keep babies entertained for hours - or as long as my arm holds out. Really the secret to keeping an infant entertained is just distraction, with things you find out they like and new things they haven't seen before.

My other secrets I will keep for later.

She looks like she is going to be a bright girl.

Your job IS to entertain her...LOL! It's amazing how funny we can all be with babies! Talking - don't rush it - she will soon be talking back - but not the cute way she is now! ha ha ha ! Can't wait to hear those stories!!!!! Hope to see her on her first trip to Alabama! Get some pictures posted or sent our way!
