These seem to be the words most often used in news stories these days. In other words... "believe what you want, I could have made this stuff up and you can't verify what I'm saying."

Seems like no one wants to take responsibility for their statements, wonder why.
You're right under these conditions anybody can say anything whether it is true or not and then go out and try to prove a negative.
